I spent the day working with some of my newer, younger colleagues. They are completely bereft of anything resembling honor, community, sacrifice, idealism. They just don't get it, the little narcissistic, self-absorbed little shits.

I swear I'm gonna get "REALITY" tattooed on my fist.

They'll get it soon. I think we're on the verge of the biggest American reality check since the Depression, and while it ain't gonna be fun, it's probably just what we need to finally get what we've done through our skulls. It's clear that nothing else has worked up to this point, anyway, and isn't it usually true that privilege isn't willingly surrendered by the privileged? Privileges generally have to be taken away before those who grew up with them realize they were taking them for granted.

Of course, you could always get a head start with your fist, and far be it from me to suggest otherwise, but why exert yourself doing a job that nature is almost already through with? ;)

True, but I sometimes like to think of myself as a force of nature. ;)
