The coup was aimed at toppling President Franklin D Roosevelt with the help of half-a-million war veterans. The plotters, who were alleged to involve some of the most famous families in America, (owners of Heinz, Birds Eye, Goodtea, Maxwell Hse & George Bush’s Grandfather, Prescott) believed that their country should adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression. I have been slowly catching up on blogs, and read through a few of yours this afternoon. There is a book I have just finished (March) called "Truimph of the Airheads - the retreat from commonsense" by Shelley Gare..an Australian journalist which touches on the sickness in the way we all seem to be thinking or not thinking... a lt of what you say is similiar...(
